The harbour is intended for small boats only, it is not suitable for guest yachts.
Small fishing boats, however, are the most common in this village harbour. You can find out how Kihnu fishermen go out to sea, what their fishing habits are and what kind of catches the sea has to offer.
During a cold winter, an ice road between the mainland and Kihnu starts from Sigatsuaru harbour. There is a lantern on the beach, which is a good guide for both ice road and waterway users.
The fishing harbour was renovated in 2020 and became a proper small harbour.
