More than a century and a half ago, women in Tõstamaa began to knit beautiful socks and gloves decorated with a rose on a white background, the dense and delicate surface of which was covered with rich letters, mostly in red. Some used more advanced techniques as well.
Roosimine is an inlay technique that creates the appearance of embroidery through intentional floats in contrasting yarn on the right side of the knitting.
In the workshop, you will learn the technique
and make your own small pincushion.
