SUNSETS ON THE BEACH ROUTE
When light takes on colours and shades.
Every day ends with a sunset, one of the most amazing natural occurrences. It varies with each season, influenced by the sun’s angle, reflecting objects, clouds and the location from which we observe it. At times, the coast takes on a golden hue, while other times it turns completely pink. The larger and emptier the horizon, the greater the area it takes and the grander the show is it puts on. This is why many of us are willing to climb the tallest hill, drive to the coast or seek out the highest floor of a high building for the sunset. And those colours. We pause in our activities time and again, filled with awe, to savour the sun’s journey behind the horizon in complete stillness. Let us run outside or to the sea, lift our gaze and be endlessly grateful for these little wonders in our lives. It is like a fiery romance story in the middle of a colourful sky, which reveals a completely new way of looking at the world. It reveals a sense of mystery, with colours and shades. The sunset grants an unexplainable sense of peace and offers a wordless summary of the day. If you know how to see, the sunset shows you how to let go in the most beautiful way imaginable.
The Romantic Coastline mostly runs along the coast, concealing both private and public spots for enjoying this romantic activity in nature. Watching sunsets, whether at sea from a boat or a yacht, while walking on a beach, at a watchtower in the moorland, or on the piers and beach pastures is an integral part of experiencing our seasons. Blue Waves take you to enjoy the sunset at sea, and at Surfhunt, you can take a boat to slowly paddle towards the setting sun. We also have a whole festival dedicated to sunsets – Kabli Sunset Festival. We also have two moles: one is the historic Uulu mole in Mereküla and the other is at Varbla Harbour.
We have watchtowers and secluded coasts, swimming spots and endless beach meadows where we enjoy swimming, dining or spending the night while enjoying the setting sun.
