Skating on natural sea ice is truly one of the most unique activities that the Estonian winter offers! Skating on sea ice is unlike any indoor hall or city square experience. Ice fields stretching to the horizon, breathtaking winter views, and the feeling of being on an endless natural skating rink create a sense of freedom and discovery.
Tour skating largely depends on the weather, making this experience exclusive and rare. Sea ice forms only in certain winters and only for a certain period, mostly from January to February.
If you feel that crowded skating rinks are too cramped, we invite you to skate in the nature of Pärnu County. We organize skating tours in Pärnu Bay and Kihnu Strait, around the islands of Manija, Kihnu, and Sorgu.
The tour includes:
- tour skates that attach to hiking boots (ski poles if needed)
- service of an experienced tour guide
- safety equipment and guidance
- a light snack and hot tea
Note: High boots that support the ankles are necessary for skating!
