Lake Ruhijärv

During the summer, you can go visit Lake Ruhijärv, which is like a paradise with water lilies near Karksi, on the border of Latvia.

The sandy shores are perfect for having fun in the water and due to the abundance of fish, the lake is also attractive to fishing enthusiasts. People have started to call the place Tammenina (Oak nose), because several trees grow together like large bushes and some of them have even grown together by the “noses”. Additionally, there are camping sites where hikers can start a bonfire. Those who are staying for a longer time, should definitely have some patience or mosquito repellent, as insects also like to spend time in this beautiful place.
